NExT++ team has successfully hosted the 6th ACM ICAIF 2025 in Singapore

The ACM International Conference on AI in Finance (ICAIF) is a scholarly peer-reviewed Conference that aims to bring together researchers from both academia and industry to share the challenges, advances and insights on the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on finance.  Since its establishment in 2020, ACM ICAIF has emerged as a premier venue for showcasing cutting-edge research at the intersection of artificial intelligence and finance, from both academia and industry. All previous ICAIF conferences have been held in New York, USA.

ACM ICAIF 2025 in Singapore is the first in the history of ICAIF that was held outside North America. It took place on 15 - 18 Nov 2025 immediately following the Singapore FinTech Festival 2025 (12 - 14 Nov).  Prof. Tat-Seng Chua served as General Chair of the conference, together with several NExT members: Fengbin Zhu (Local Chair), Yang Zhang (Web Chair), Moxin Li (Registration Chair), Yonghui Yang (Registration Chair), Haokai Ma (Student Volunteer Chair), Kelvin J.L. Koa (Student Volunteer Chair) and Yilun Qiu (Web Facilitator); as well as NExT alumni: Yunshan Ma (Local Chair), Huanbo Luan (Sponsorship Chair), Fuli Feng (Workshop Chair), Wenjie Wang (Publication Chair), Cheng Luo (Publicity Chair) and Lizi Liao (Student Travel Award Chair). The four-day conference attracted over 600 participants to explore cutting-edge technologies and prospects of AI + Finance! The first two days (November 15–16) featured 10 workshops, 4 tutorials, 5 competitions, and a dedicated Industry Day. The main conference (November 17–18) included 3 keynote talks, 1 panel discussion, 18 oral sessions, and 2 poster sessions. ICAIF 2025 also featured two social events: a Welcome Reception at the Asian Civilisations Museum on November 16 and the Conference Banquet at the Sheraton Towers Singapore on November 17.

In addition, the NExT++ team also organized a Financial Document Deep Research (FinDDR) Competition at ICAIF’25 together with an awards ceremony.

By holding this ICAIF edition in Asia-Pacific, we are not only expanding the conference’s geographical footprint but also actively cementing a vital bridge between frontier academic research and transformative real-world financial applications. We brought together researchers and experts from government, academia, and industry across the globe to exchange ideas and foster collaborations at ICAIF 2025.  This initiative underscores our commitment to accelerate the responsible adoption and advancement of AI in Finance.
